Pizarras digitales y cambio de paradigmas.
Dando vueltas por la web me encontré con este evento, donde “el principal objetivo de este ciclo de tres jornadas es el de profundizar en la potencialidad de las nuevas tecnologias aplicadas a la educación que han aterrizado en el aula y conocer los mejores usos que los agentes educativos están haciendo de esta tecnología”.
¿Se imaginan cuánto mejor sería la educación si todas las aulas tuviesen un sistema como este?
Muchos de ustedes argumentarán que es algo costosa su implementación, pero en realidad no es tan así. Gracias al sistema que inventó Johnny Lee, con un simple control de Wii, cualquier superficie se puede transformar en algo interactivo (un pizarrón común y corriente por ejemplo). Poniendo como caso mi propia
escuela secundaria, que es pública, cuenta con proyectores y computadoras, por lo cual el único costo sería el de comprar un Wiimote (U$S 65, pero habrá que ver a cuánto se va con el nuevo impuesto retrograda aprobado por la nación).
Pero para no irnos de tema, esto me recuerda mucho al debate que se armó en la Barcamp 2009, donde @p0nja ponía en duda la efectividad de nuestro sistema educativo. Por el momento estamos viendo cosas viejas, con herramientas nuevas, aunque esto no cambie en el corto plazo, creo la inclusión de pizarras interactivas ayudaría muchísimo, tanto a profesores como a alumnos, empezaríamos a incluir internet y tecnología dentro de las instituciones.
El costo de implementación es diminuto comparado con el salto cualitativo que se podría generar en base a esta tecnología, pero claro, para eso se necesita apoyo de varios lados, del lado político, pero sobre todo del lado del docente, el cual va a tener que cambiar sus paradigmas para poder aprovecharlo al máximo.
Beneficios para los docentes

> El profesor puede preparar clases mucho más atractivas y documentadas. Los materiales que vaya creando los puede ir adaptando y reutilizar cada año.
> La pizarra ofrece al docente la posibilidad de grabación, impresión y reutilización de la clase reduciendo así el esfuerzo invertido y facilitando la revisión de lo impartido.
> Generalmente, el software asociado a la pizarra posibilita el acceso a gráficos, diagramas y plantillas, lo que permiten preparar las clases de forma más sencilla y eficiente, guardarlas y reutilizarlas.
Beneficios para los alumnos
> Incremento de la motivación e interés de los alumnos gracias a la posibilidad de disfrutar de clases más llamativas llenas de color en las que se favorece el trabajo colaborativo, los debates y la presentación de trabajos de forma vistosa a sus compañeros, favoreciendo la auto confianza y el desarrollo de habilidades sociales.
> La utilización de pizarras digitales facilita la comprensión, especialmente en el caso de conceptos complejos dada la potencia para reforzar las explicaciones utilizando vídeos, simulaciones e imágenes con las que es posible interaccionar.
> Los alumnos pueden repasar los conceptos dado que la clase o parte de las explicaciones han podido ser enviadas por correo a los alumnos por parte del docente.
